hannahsuzanna asked: I just got eggs to make hard boiled / deviled eggs. so excited <3
Yay! I have them some in the fridge. Put one on my salad last night.
Oatmeal Breakfast w/ Tea
I cooked the oatmeal with frozen blackberries that I picked last summer
then added a little unsweetened coconut milk and honey
to balance out the tartness of the berries
(I guess they weren’t quite ripe when I picked them!)
Sauteed onions & corn tortillas in a pan with olive oil, threw in a few eggs at the end. heated black beans and had them on the side, with another side of diced mango, topped it all with salsa verde.
pretty delish for a lunch on the fly.
Leftovers For Lunch
I heated up my leftover sauteed veggies from the night before
(onion, kale, broccoli, carrot, green onion) then added the eggs to the pan
to make a scramble. I topped it with avocado and the last of my salsa verde.
I forgot about the cilantro but it didn’t really need it anyway.
I also had a glass of carrot juice which satisfied my sweet tooth.
CHICKEN SOUP
chicken, onion, carrots, celery, bell pepper (just a little, chopped pretty small) vegetable broth, lemon juice (fresh squeezed) cilantro, green onion and avocado on top.
The first night I made this I also cooked brown rice separately and put that in my bowl before adding the soup. The next night I just had the left-over soup with no rice and it was still hearty and delicious. Perfect for these cold rainy nights!
BREAKFAST
Onion and kale sauteed in olive oil then scrambeled with eggs.
Sprouted bread toasted with olive oil and a spread of avocado, lemon, cilantro and green onion.
Orange slices on the side!
CHICKEN TACOS
Black beans cooked with onion and tomato.
Chicken cooked in olive oil with onion, red bell pepper, lemon and lime.
Topped with green onion, cilantro, lettuce, avocado and mild salsa verde
(Tio Tamoso’s brand uses sweet chili peppers in their mild salsa verde
so there is no spice to it and they are the only salsa we’ve found without vinegar)
SISTER CLEANSE: Wow that looks amazing!! I don’t eat chicken so I’m going to substitute fish. Great news about the salsa.
And what tortillas are you using? Mine have some questionable ingredients so I haven’t been eating them: sodium acid pyrophosphate, sodium bicarbonate, monocalcium phoshate, guar gum, cellulose gum, fumaric acid, calcium propionate, potassium sorbate. What is all that stuf???

Winter Root Roast
So simple and yummy, plus makes excellent leftovers!
Toss veggies in a pyrex, add some olive oil and fresh rosemary, mix and place in 350 degree oven. after 30 minutes, give it a stir, put back in for another 15-20 or so till its done.
for this meal, i used a rainbow array of small potatoes, fennel root, carrot, brussel sprouts, & onion. I also did a quick kale sauté and had that on the side… yum.
RESPONSE FROM SISTER CLEANSE: Yummy!!! For some reason roasting veggies slipped my mind. And I LOVE brussel sprouts!
Day 6 of 14
Vivid dreams last night. No MJ makes it possible to see more clearly with my 6th Chakra. I like having a stronger connection to my intuition through my dream images. This is very good.
Baked acorn squash with lime juice, cilantro, Italian parsley, salt, pepper, marjoram, dried ginger. Not so yummy. It needs a little somethin’. Any suggestions?
COMFORT FOOD
I’m feeling overwhelmed, sad and depleted. I needed to meet someone at the co-op and got myself some comfort food. Popcorn is awesome snack food. I stared at the chocolate for a minute. Crackers. Bread. It actually wasn’t difficult to scan my brain for things that would work. My motivation is living the life I envision for myself. The only time to do that is in the present moment. There is no “well…I’ll do better later.” There is no later. And, the last feeling I need when I’m stressed is guilt.
DAY 5 OF 14
Soooo healthy! I’m off to work and will most likely have juice during the day until dinner. I woke up without an alarm and got out of bed at 6. Meditated for a half hour. Planned my day. Made juice. I feel clear and energetic. Ready for the day!
DAY 5 OF 14
Today’s produce for juicing : granny smith apples, pears, grapefruit orange, spinach, ginger, beat, red bell pepper, red cabbage, celery, carrots, kale, chard.
My sister sent me this picture of her saute. She had it with brown rice and eggs. Preparing healthy food for dinner is pretty darn easy. Makes you wonder how most Americans got so far off course. It’s almost like people don’t know what to do with vegetables. I guess there are some veggies I don’t know what to do with. Like Jerusalem artichokes. I’ve never cooked with those. I’m going to have to google that one.
I used to be ruled by food. I counted calories, weighed myself every day and had body image issues. What they say about diets not working is true. I educated myself about health and slowly made changes over the years. Eating the way I am now on this cleanse back then would have been excruciatingly difficult for me. Now, chocolate will make my mouth water, but I know I can have some later if I want and I know I can pass on it if I feel like it’s not supporting my health or happiness. One crucial difference is I used to diet for weight. Now I am tweaking an already good diet to be even better so I feel great, look vibrant and maximize my chances of staying healthy. Especially important since I don’t have health insurance.
So, people do change. Transformation is possible. It just takes some effort and patience.
